Power Ballads of the 80s and 90s aka Listening to the radio on the way home from work.

Let me give you a little taste:

"MORE THAN A FEEEEELING!"

Driving home from work I grew tired of the cd I was listening to and decided to give the radio a try. As I flipped through stations, mostly to avoid grappling with the mess that is my cd holder and a subsequent disastrous interaction with another vehicle, I couldn't help but notice that every station was blasting a different power ballad. Even the "ROCK" station was busting out some old school anthems. And then, when I thought all hope was lost, I flipped to a station that was playing something other than a power ballad. Quickly I realized it was far worse - some Katy Perry nonsense about teenage plastic bag dreams or something of that nature.

After the day I had at work I decided that maybe it was best to just turn the music completely off and stare vacantly out the window. I mean, I tried to pay attention to the other cars and all that junk. Really, I did.

Unfortunately, a short while later I realized something..... I could hear it, on loop, in the back of my head... "TAKE MY HAND, WE'LL MAKE IT I SWEAR...." Defeated. Thanks a lot, local radio.
